A Reflection on Psalm 72:7–19 🌍
In the radiant justice of God’s kingdom, Psalm 72 declares a truth that shakes the foundations of worldly power: “All kings will bow down to him and all nations will serve him” (v.11). This isn’t just poetic—it’s prophetic. It speaks of a time when every race of rich man, every ruler, every system built on greed and exclusion will bend in reverence to the One who defends the poor, the afflicted, and the targeted.
At Heyoka Fire, we believe this scripture is not only a future promise—it’s a present call. Verses 12–14 remind us that God “delivers the needy… has pity on the weak… and saves them from oppression and violence.” This is the heartbeat of Christ. And it’s the blueprint for our gatherings, our outreach, and our art.
We do not gather to flatter power. We gather to embody divine care. We study, serve, and speak so that the poor are not forgotten, the targeted are not silenced, and the rich are reminded: your crown is not eternal, but your obedience can be.
Let every mural, every meal, every prayer be a declaration: the reign of justice is rising. And in that reign, all will bow—not in shame, but in surrender to love.
